Tonya Malek is an associate with Parker Straus, LLP in its Los Angeles office.
Ms. Malek’s practice focuses primarily on insurance defense and coverage.
Ms. Malek earned her B.B.A. in Marketing from Southern Methodist University in 2007, and earned her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2010. While in law school, she was a judicial extern for the Honorable Carlton Biggs of the Superior Court of California, County of Orange. She also had the pleasure of volunteering at the San Diego Domestic Violence clinic, in addition to working at both the San Diego District Attorney’s Office, as well as the Office of the Public Defender. Ms. Malek graduated with the Pro Bono Service Recognition Award for the extensive work she performed at these offices. She also received the Outstanding Oral Argument Award in her Lawyering Skills course.
She is fluent in Farsi.
Ms. Malek was admitted to the California Bar in December 2010.
