On March 5, 2016, Parker Straus, LLP, attended the 3rd Annual Cowtown Warriors Ball in Fort Worth, TX. The Cowtown Warriors Ball is a function of the Metroplex Marines Coordinating Council (MMCC) operating under the 501(c)3 Metroplex Military Charitable Trust. In January 2013, the leadership of MMCC was notified that the active duty unit in Quantico, The Wounded Warrior Regimen, was being cut short of funds. In an effort to raise money for these Marines and Navy Corpsmen, Wounded Warrior Ball, now branded Cowtown Warriors Ball, was born to raise funds and cover costs not taken care of by the Department of Defense. There are many wounded, ill and injured veterans throughout Dallas, Fort Worth and its surrounding areas who have made grave sacrifices for the benefit of others. Through the Cowtown Warriors Ball, we are able to show our gratitude for these sacrifices and give back to our veterans.
With members of our firm being active members of the military, the Cowtown Warriors organization is one that we support full-heartedly. At this year's event, Parker Straus, LLP, was the second highest contributing sponsor. Our firm is a large supporter of our troops and reveled at the opportunity to attend and sponsor such a great event with an even greater cause.
