MICHAEL R. PARKER TO PRESENT PAIN MANAGEMENT: INJECTIONS AT DALLAS CLAIMS
ASSOCIATION MEETING
November 6, 2019 – When used correctly, orthopedic injections diagnose and manage pain. Unfortunately, some providers use these injections incorrectly to defraud patients. This presentation discusses the purpose and procedure of several injections and reveals the indicators of fraud associated with some of them. Our goal is to stop dishonest medical providers from using injections fraudulently by disclosing their methods to others.

Parker, PLLC to Partner with the International Association of Insurance Professionals to Present Bad Faith Claims
October 16, 2019 – Michael R. Parker will be presenting his course on Bad Faith Claims via Webinar for the International Association of Insurance Professionals. After completing this course, attendees will have a greater understanding of the vital role that insurer's play in investigations and how to protect that role through understanding their duty of good faith to the insured. The presentation stresses of the importance surrounding conducting a proper investigation, while not breaching duties to the insured and ultimately, avoiding potential bad faith exposure.
MICHAEL PARKER TO PRESENT TRENDS IN SOFT TISSUE FRAUD AT NOTX IASIU OCTOBER
CHAPTER MEETING
October 15, 2019 - This course will provide attendees with the knowledge to identify various types of injury and chiropractic treatment in soft tissue injury, and at what type of impact these injuries are likely to occur. Attendees will also be able to identify the trends in medical fraud commonly found in chiropractic treatment, by identifying the appropriate Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes and corresponding red flags when the treatment administered is not appropriate.

August 27-28, 2019, Arcadia, CA – Michael R. Parker will be presenting his course on Supply-Chain Distribution Logistics Investigations as the keynote speaker of the 2019 NICB Cargo Theft Symposium. June 11, 2018, Fort Worth, TX – Since 1992, more than 50,000 children have benefited from the Tarrant County children’s advocacy center, Alliance For Children. June 15, 2016, Fort Worth - On June 14th and June 15th, four of our Associate Attorneys from our Fort Worth office volunteered to judge the preliminary rounds of the State Moot Court Competition. The State Moot Court Competition is open to all ABA-accredited law schools in Texas and held in connection with the State Bar Annual Meeting. The Texas Supreme Court or the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals presides over the final round (depending on whether it is a civil or criminal problem).This year’s problem was a civil cause before the Texas Supreme Court; you can find the problem here. The problem was inspired by Justice Willett, Justice Lehrmann, and Justice Devine’s dissent to the denial of the petition for review in El-Ali v. State, 428 S.W.3d 824, 825 (Tex. 2014). C. Roland, attended the 24th Annual Florida Insurance Fraud Education Committee (FIFEC) Conference
in Orlando, Florida. FIFEC began its formal existence as the DIF/SIU Annual
Training Seminar representing the Florida Department of Insurance’s
Division of Insurance Fraud and the Special Investigations Unit (SIU)
community in 1992 at Altamonte Springs. In 1997, it was determined that
the DIF/SIU Seminar had grown far too large an endeavor for a single SIU
and FIFEC was formed. Over the years, FIFEC has offered continuous annual
training seminars for DIF and SIU investigators, other law enforcement
officers, prosecutors, insurance carrier adjusters and management, insurance
defense attorneys and others in the ongoing fight to combat all forms of
insurance fraud.

March 31, 2016, Fort Worth - On March 31st and April 1st, four of our Associate Attorneys from our Fort Worth office volunteered to judge the preliminary rounds of theNational Trial Competition finals. The National Trial Competition was established in 1975 to encourage and strengthen students' advocacy skills through quality competition and valuable interaction with members of the bench and bar. The program is designed to expose law students to the nature of trial practice and to serve as a supplement to their education. This year the top 28 law school teams from across the country were invited to compete in the mock trial competition in Dallas, Texas at the George Allen Courthouse, on March 31st to April 2nd. 2016 ANNUAL COWTOWN WARRIORS BALL
March 5, 2016, Fort Worth - On March 5, 2016, Parker, PLLC Attorneys at Law attended the 3rd Annual Cowtown Warriors Ball in Fort Worth, TX. The Cowtown Warriors Ball is a function of the Metroplex Marines Coordinating Council (MMCC) operating under the 501(c)3 Metroplex Military Charitable Trust. In January 2013, the leadership of MMCC was notified that the active duty unit in Quantico, The Wounded Warrior Regiment, was being cut short of funds. In an effort to raise money for these Marines and Navy Corpsmen, Wounded Warrior Ball, now branded Cowtown Warriors Ball, was born to raise funds and cover costs not taken care of by the Department of Defense. ROCKY MOUNTAIN ELK CLAY SHOOT EVENT
February 20, 2016, Fort Worth - On February 20th, our Managing Partner, Michael R. Parker, and several Associates of our Fort Worth team joined the North Texas Chapter of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF) at Elm Fork Shooting Sports for their Clay Shoot Fundraising Event. The mission of the RMEF is to ensure the future of elk, other wildlife, their habitat and our hunting heritage. Since its establishment in 1984, RMEF has protected and enhanced over 6.7 million acres of wildlife habitat. March 26, 2014, Los Angeles - The National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) and the Los Angeles County
District Attorney’s Office (LADA) hosted a training day specifically
designed for law enforcement. Michael Parker, Managing Partner of Parker,
PLLC Attorneys at Law, and Chiropractor Philip D. Rake provided technical
expertise to investigators from multiple law enforcement agencies in attendance.
Detectives representing the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s
